Jennifer Dunford
I quit school because I was one of those teenagers who thought I knew it all. I had a good job making good money. Well, one day that job was gone.
I spent the next 10 years pretending I had graduated from high school. I got married and became a stay-at-home mom, so my lie worked fine until I suddenly found myself a single mother with more responsibilities than I was prepared for.
It was time to go back to school and get my GED if I wanted a job.  I dreaded it, but tackled it anyway. Much to my surprise, I was able to obtain my GED in just over a month.
I am very proud of myself.  Within a week of receiving my GED, I got a job. My future is looking brighter now.
Editors Note:  Jennifer obtained her GED in February of 2011 and went to work the same month.
